Mission Statement: To provide quality service and support through effective teamwork and communication with departmental staff and vendors to provide contracting and purchasing support to meet the needs of the Alabama Department of Mental Health and the mental health system in a professional, responsive, and timely manner, and within the framework of state statutes and federal guidelines.

All goods and non-professional services contracts are handled through a competitive bid process. Purchasing contracts are awarded to the lowest responsible bidders.

All professional services contracts are handled through a competitive proposal process. Professional services contracts are issued to vendors deemed most qualified by a panel.

Seeking proposals from qualified professionals/professional organizations for evidence-based criminal thinking interventions, drug/alcohol outpatient (OP) and intensive drug/alcohol outpatient treatment (IOP), mental health counseling, and re-entry services to parolees, probationers, and mandatory releases participating in the Board’s Day Reporting Centers located in Anniston, Birmingham, Montgomery, Huntsville, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
