The Office of Planning & Resource Development coordinates the department’s strategic planning process and directs other initiatives on behalf of the department to include the review of Central Office policies. It partners with organizations and stakeholders to leverage resources through the pursuit of grants.

Strategic Planning Process and Other Initiatives

To ensure ongoing safety and to meet standards of care for specific stakeholder groups, the following plans have been developed.

Project Rebound
The department initiated Project Rebound to provide relief and assistance in the aftermath of disasters in partnership with community organizations.

SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery
The SOAR program improves access to disability benefits to those who are homeless.

Leverage Resources through the Pursuit of Grants

PRD assists in the location and development of grant proposals that focus on departmental priority areas including programs for community based treatment. The office is responsible for overseeing grant program planning and implementation that includes budget and resource allocation, evaluation, and implementation of reporting requirements.
