As a MAC worker, you play one of the most important roles
in helping people with disabilities live successfully in the
community. You are what the NDP is all about!
The Medication Assistant Certification requires completion of
the 12-hour MAC-1 training and a 50-question written
examination. Candidates must obtain a 90% passing score for
certification. The examination is not to be administered as an
open-book test. The MAC workers may use the MAC Facts ONLY
MAC candidates will be allowed to take the test three times.
A retest can be administered by the instructor after 24 hours to
allow individuals additional time to study. Following the third
failure, the candidate is disqualified for 12 months.
