This office coordinates certain federal education programs, compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Alabama State Employees Combined Charitable Campaign, and the DMH/MR Speakers’ Bureau among other special projects. The director of this office also coordinates and serves as executive director of the Alabama Family Trust, a program established by the Alabama legislature in 1994 to supplement the care, support, habilitation and treatment of persons who have a mental or physical impairment.
