Various Mental Health Advocates and Stakeholders
(this is the last of 15 offered throughout the state)
6:30 - 8:00 PM
James E Arrington City Hall Complex, 400 Commerce Street, Jackson 36545
Area advocates and stakeholders are hosting a series of Meet & Greet town hall-style meetings across the state to discuss key issues facing the mental health system in Alabama. The meetings begin October 19 and continue into January. They provide consumers, family members, local officials and mental health service providers the opportunity to discuss issues such as waiting lists
and underserved populations. Attendees will be able to share their stories, present ideas and express concerns. Public officials will be able to ask questions and listen to their constituents in an informal setting.
Alabama Department of Mental Health Commissioner Zelia Baugh will make comments on challenges and opportunities facing the public mental health system.
