JOB LOCATION: Taylor Hardin Secure Medical Facility, 1301 Jack Warner Parkway Northeast, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Doctorate degree in Psychology, and experience (24 months or more) in psychological work. Preference may be given to applicants with experience in forensics.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of or eligibility for licensure as issued by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Psychology
KIND OF WORK: Performs forensic evaluations to include psychometric tests and report writing; provides direct treatment to patients to include individual and group therapy; attends treatment team meetings as assigned; supervises psychology graduate students and performs other related duties.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge and skills in psychological testing and evaluations. Excellent writing and communication skills. Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards helpful. Must have sound judgment.
METHOD OF SELECTION: Applicants will be rated on the basis of an evaluation of their training, experience and education, and should provide adequate work history identifying experiences related to the duties and minimum qualifications as mentioned above. All relevant information is subject to verification. Drug screening required. Security Clearances will be conducted on prospective applicants being given serious consideration for employment and whose job requires direct contact with clients.
