43 – Journey to Recovery

My name is Andre and I have a mental illness diagnosis of schizophrenia. It has been hereditary throughout my family for years. Therefore, I've been taking day after day. I am a volunteer on the work crew at Adult Day Services and am working part-time at Auburn University as a stadium personnel. I use arts and poetry to keep my mind, body, and spirit from hearing harsh voices. I am doing pretty good, reading Bible scriptures and counting my blessings. So, as we all have problems and relationships, let's look to our communities and stick together for the united prayers above. Thank you for looking at my picture and reading my story.
