76 – Iris Flower with Busy Little Bee

Since grade school I have wrestled with various learning disabilities that seemed to change my teacher's perspectives of how I can perform academically. This motivated me to overcome and outperform. I graduated high school second in my class and even earned a scholarship to Spring Hill College. Later, after being diagnosed with schizophrenia, I was introduced to art while in the hospital. I attended an art forum on watercolor and as I improved my technique I began to discover the joy and satisfaction I had when creating art. Art has given me a sense of respect for myself as realizing it's therapeutic benefits.
