Bambi

My name is Johnathan. I was born in Haleyville, AL, but I moved around a lot and eventually ended up in Florence. I drew this piece because I’ve always wanted to fly a fighter plane—but that dream wasn’t possible for me due to my involvement in the mental health system. 

I also wear glasses because I was hit by a car when I was three years old. Art has been a way for me to express the dreams and experiences that have shaped my life.
