My name is Kelvin, and I live with schizophrenia. I’ve overcome my anxiety and have learned to manage my wellness through my program at ADS. The staff and the art workshops at ADS have been incredibly supportive and have helped me grow.

Through recovery, I’ve learned to manage my illness and embrace my artistic abilities. My uncle and my high school art teacher taught me how to become an artist. Showing my art at the Capital Showcase filled me with pride and gave me the opportunity to share my versatility in art. I enjoy creating everything from comics and action figures to sports players like those in football and basketball.

Thank you for considering me for the showcase. It’s an honor to share my art with others.
