I am an adult on the autism spectrum and a student at Vivian B. Adams School (VBAS).
Over time, I have grown both socially and personally, gaining valuable independent living skills and becoming more confident in trying new things and connecting with others. My experiences at VBAS have encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and enjoy meeting new people and participating in a variety of activities.
I enjoy being a part of the HeArt (Helping Encourage Artistic Expression to Reinforce and Transform) Program at VBAS. With the support of our instructor, Mr. Bill Meyer, I have enjoyed working with many different artistic mediums and trying new creative techniques. I especially enjoy expressing myself through color, which allows me to share my creativity in a meaningful and personal way.
