My name is Clint, and I have autism. I have struggled for a long time because I do not like having autism. Sometimes people overlook me or let me do whatever because they think I’m special and can’t be like other people.
I have feelings just like everybody else. Drawing helped me fit in at school because my art teacher encouraged me and showed me I could be like others. I got started because my neighbor was a real good artist, and I wanted to learn. Every day, I got step-by-step books, and every day I would draw. Then I kept drawing, and people liked my drawings.
I used to want to learn to draw like other people, but then I started drawing what made me feel good and started my own style.
