I was taught art in the ninth and 10th grades. It helps me relieve stress, anxiety, and depression. I am overcoming schizophrenia by overcoming symptoms of my illness.
Art helps me stamp out stigma and personal problems. It allows me to show my abilities. Doing art with others in the workshop helps me feel joy with others, relieves stress and pain. When I accomplish something, I feel independent. Going to the Capital to show my art helps me feel others care.
I was first diagnosed with anxiety and depression with Parkinson’s disease. This was by my first doctor at New Horizons. I can relate with others who have the same problems. I take my medicine as prescribed and learned how to take care of myself.
I go to my parents’ house every Friday and help them clean and wash dishes. My mom teaches me how to cook. I painted the heart above a mountaintop because I enjoy nature and the sound of a cool breeze through the trees. I show my appreciation to the health workers who do a great job at helping everyone.
