I was diagnosed with pervasive developmental disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I have struggled with outbursts of anger. I have maintained recovery and independence by attending day treatment and maintaining my medications. I am a self-taught artist. I began teaching myself art when I was 5 years old. I like art because it is fun and it keeps me calm. I use art as a coping skill and a way to keep myself busy. I like drawing because it is my dream in life and helps me express myself through creativity.
