Selection Process
For the Round 1 Selection Process, the Alabama Department of Mental Health convened a diverse, multidisciplinary team of stakeholders, community leaders, providers, and state agency personnel.
The Selection Committee comprised professionals with prevention, treatment, and recovery backgrounds. No Selection Committee member submitted a proposal, nor was employed by an organization that submitted a proposal. No Selection Committee member was compensated for their time. ADMH received 52 submissions to the Request for Proposal. Of the proposals submitted 63% were funded. RFPs were ranked in order of final score within each category above. Awards were offered in order of final score - in amounts determined by proposed budgets - until funding in each category was no longer available. This process resulted in a diverse pool of awardees across the state.
